We are a group of Germans and Ukrainians living in the Hamburg area. As volunteers we try to help the people in Ukraine by collecting donations.
For this we collect donations from many areas, for example medical products, clothing, walking aids, rollators, wheelchairs and much more. But we are also happy to accept donations of computers, IT hardware, tools, school desks and chairs as well as many other items and move them to Ukraine. We have even received donations of buses and transported them to Ukraine. There, these buses are being used to care for and evacuate civilians.
Due to our network, we can also operate nationwide for larger donations, e.g. hospital beds. We then send a truck or van directly to the collection point.
We bring most of the donations to Help For Ukraine’s central warehouse in Kyiv and then distribute them throughout the country as needed. If we receive a specific request for larger quantities, e.g. if a hospital in western Ukraine needs a lot of beds, we sometimes deliver these items directly to the destination.
